Maison de vacances en Valdemarsvik Ö

This newly-built holiday home is located in the beautiful archipelago of Gryt. The 32-square metre cottage is well planned and cosy, and suitable for 2-3 people.

In the kitchen, you will find an induction stove, a fridge-freezer, and a small dining area. The cosy little living room is equipped with a TV, a DVD-player, and a sofa bed with a width of 160 centimetres. The material in the sofa bed is Memory Foam, and very comfortable. If you need an extra bed for a child, the landlord has one.

A ladder takes you up to the mezzanine where you will find a single bed. The bathroom is tiled and features a WC, a washbasin, and a shower.

You will have access to a swimming pool, a sauna, and a tennis course, which are nearby. It is free of charge for tenants. The nearest bathing spot is only 400 metres away, just short walk through the woods. There's also a sandy beach 2 kilometres away. This beach is child-friendly, with shallow water and bathing docks. The nature reserve of Ekön is only 1.5 kilometres from the cottage. Here you will find another bathing spot with cliffs, docks, and a small, sandy beach. There are motor boats and canoes for rent. Fishing is free of charge in Östersjön.

The charming coastal village of Fyrudden is only two kilometres away and offers a restaurant, a shop, and a café. Catch a ferry (“turbåtarna”) to the beautiful village of Harstena which dates back to the 1700's. The fee is only 44 SEK. There's also a ferryride that takes about two hours and takes you past nine islands.

The town of Valdemarsvik is 20 kilometres away by car. The beautiful hiking trail Östgötaleden also takes you there. If you want to make a day trip, there are many lovely towns that are suitable, such as the picturesque town of Västervik (70 km), or Söderköping (50 km), a town that dates back to the middle ages.

The charming town of Vimmerby is 80 kilometres away. This area is the setting of many of Astrid Lindgren's beloved children's books such as Emil of Lönneberga. The children will really enjoy Astrid Lindgren's World. Katthult and Bullerbyn are also close. Or why not take a daytrip to Mariannelund and find out how sweets were made in the olden days? Another great place to visit is the nature reserve of Kolmården, 80 kilometres away.
